Summer Drink Recipe #1: The Adult Fishbowl

This summer drink recipe is as fun to make as it is to drink! The gorgeous waters of the ocean and our LED light strings that perfectly capture the beauty of aqua blue waves were all we needed to dream up this fresh and fizzy punch! Sip poolside, at the lake, or even by the ocean. The Adult Fishbowl is a crowd pleaser and creates a fun drink display when paired with bright blue and green LEDs!

Adult Fishbowl Punch paired with green and blue LEDs!

Ocean inspired illumination is just a few blue and green LED string lights away! Grab a few strands and decorate an outdoor dining table, pool side bar or wrap the deck!

Here’s what you’ll need: 

  • 10 ounces coconut rum
  • 6 ounces Blue Curacao liqueur
  • 12 ounces sweet-and-sour mix
  • 20 ounces pineapple juice
  • 32 ounces lemon- lime soda
  • 3 small fishbowls
  • 1 box (6 oz) Nerds candy
  • Bag of Swedish fish candies
  • ice
  • fruit slices (lemon, lime and orange)
  • 6 drinking straws

How to Make It:

  1. Pour all liquid ingredients into a pitcher
  2. Layer the bottom of each glass with nerds and place fruit slices around the sides
  3. Pour delicious liquid mixture into each glass, leaving room for ice
  4. Add a few Swedish fish ( we saved a few for snacking), finish with ice and 2 straws each
  5. Plug in your blue/green LED light strings
  6. Enjoy!

 

Summer Drink Recipe #2: Strawberry Paradise Jello Shots

Mmmm these are too good! Sweet strawberries paired with gorgeous green LED fairy lights and vivid red LED strawberry lights create summer party magic. No summer luau, backyard bash or summer pool party is complete without a round of Strawberry jello shots! Hang lights across the bar or lay them around outdoor dining tables to complete your party atmosphere.

Strawberry Jello Shots and Red LED String Lights

Strawberries pair perfectly with our red LED strawberry lights and green fairy lights accent displays with a pop of vivid color!

Here’s what you’ll need: 

  • 1-2 packs Strawberries
  • 3 oz. Strawberry Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • Lime for garnish (optional)

How to Make It:

  1. Combine rum and cold water in one bowl
  2. Chill the liquor and cold water mix in the refrigerator so they are a consistent temperature.
  3. Cut the tops off of your strawberries, trying to keep the top as even as possible
  4. Scoop out the inside of the Strawberries
  5. Cut a little bit of the tip off of each berry so that they stand on their own, but not too much or they will leak!
  6. Line Strawberries in a mini muffin tin to help them stay upright, you can also use a baking sheet
  7. Pour jello mix into a bowl.
  8. Add boiling water, stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  9. Stir in chilled liquor and water mix
  10. Pour the mixture into your strawberries
  11. Chill for about 4 hours
  12. Garnish with small lime wedge
  13. Turn on your green and red lights and Let’s party!

Fancy Blackberry Thyme Cocktail and Chic Pearl White Lights!

Love the look? Pair fancy cocktails with chic pearl white globe lights to add elegant illumination at engagement parties, bridal showers and garden soirees!

Here’s what you’ll need: 

  • 1/3 cup blackberries, plus 8 more for garnish
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 bottle of champagne
  • 4 sprigs of thyme

How to Make It:

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the blackberries, water and sugar to a boil.
  2. Turn to low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain blackberries and let syrup cool.
  4. Add 2 tbsp. of syrup to the bottom of each glass, or to taste.
  5. Top with champagne and add in a sprig of thyme and 1-2 blackberries!

Boozy Melon Balls and Multicolor String Lights!

Get your summer party started with multicolor string lights and brightly colored accents!

Here’s what you’ll need: 

  • Watermelon
  • Cantaloupe
  • Honeydew melon
  • Vodka
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Peach Schnapps
  • Tequila

How to Make It:

  1. Use a melon ball scooper to fill your serving bowl with your fruit balls. ( if some aren’t perfect that’s okay, they will still taste great!)
  2. Pour your alcohol of choice and juice over the balls and refrigerate.
  3. Make sure you keep the melon balls in the fridge until you are ready to serve!

  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup pineapple, sliced or diced ( or be real fancy and cut into star shapes!)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 bottle white wine
  • 1 liter sprite
  • Patriotic straws
  • Red, white and blue cupcake liners

How to Make It:

  1. Add fresh fruit and sugar to a pitcher
  2. Chill for one hour
  3. Add white wine
  4. Let chill for 1-2 hours.
  5. Add sprite, to taste.
  6. Serve in mason jars over ice
  7. Line top of mason jar with cupcake liner and poke straw through
  8. Turn on your festive red,white and blue lights and enjoy the fireworks!
