Macy’s is known for its large trees and grand Christmas displays throughout the US, starting with the Thanksgiving lighting of its Great Tree. This year, the Atlanta Macy’s at Lenox Mall is breaking away from live trees and opting to use an artificial Christmas tree in its 2013 Christmas celebration. Christmas Lights, Etc is honored and excited to be chosen as the local business to provide the Macy’s Great Tree at Lenox Square. Its Red Sleigh™ Giant Everest has been featured in several other Macy’s displays in their annual Christmas tradition, including State Street in Chicago and Union Square in San Francisco.
The Giant Everest supports Macy’s efforts toward sustainability; it can be used year after year and saves a tremendous amount of power with its energy efficient LED lights. With an artificial tree, set up and take down will be much easier, as well as maintenance of the tree with no shedding needles or drought concerns. Construction of the great tree is solid, branches are full and lifelike in appearance, and electrical connections and long lasting LED bulbs ensure the tree will remain lit and looking beautiful season after season.
The Giant Everest tree, supplied by Christmas Lights, Etc in Alpharetta, GA, will grace the Atlanta Macy’s tree lighting in a ceremony on Thanksgiving at 6pm. Pre-show entertainment, music and family fun, will start at 5:15. The Giant Everest is displayed annually in other notable places such as Six Flags, Sea World, Walt Disney World, and universities and sport stadiums across the country.
